– Industry events are a key platform for us to meet, exchange experiences, and track trends in gaming and new technologies. We invest in technological development and innovative solutions, and active participation in trade shows, exhibitions, and conferences remains a cornerstone of our strategy, said Piotr Fedak, CEO of Promatic Group, the largest Polish producer of gaming machines, games, and system solutions for the gaming industry. In an interview with Interplay.pl, he reflected on the past year and shared the company’s plans for 2025.
Last year was very successful for Promatic. You consistently introduce new products and focus on further expansion into international markets. How would you summarize 2024 and outline plans for 2025?
Piotr Fedak, CEO, Promatic Group: Last year was extremely successful for us – we completed key projects, achieved strategic goals, and received industry recognition, including being featured in the Gazele Biznesu 2024 ranking. We continue to develop our online products, obtain additional certifications, and expand our offerings. In 2025, we are focusing on expansion into new markets, growing our expert team, and driving technological innovation. At the same time, we are developing our retail distribution and diversifying our product portfolio. We started the year at ICE 2025 in Barcelona and plan to actively participate in further events, building our brand image and industry trust.
You indeed started the year with a presence at ICE 2025 in Barcelona, returning as an exhibitor after several years. How do you assess Promatic’s participation in one of the most important events in the gaming industry?
PF: ICE is a key industry event for active players in this part of the world. Participation is essential to track trends and grow in a dynamic environment shaped by new technologies, AI, and gamification. ICE and its accompanying conferences inspire and set directions for the entertainment industry. Our presence allowed us to showcase our offering, understand market needs, and meet partners while establishing new business relationships.
The event seems to grow in popularity every year, with more exhibitors and visitors. Also, after many years, ICE moved from London to Spain. How do you evaluate the change of venue?
PF: This year’s ICE edition brought many changes – a new city and new exhibition space, which we evaluate very positively. Additionally, the early January timing perfectly aligned with our ambitious 2025 plans, providing a strong start. The event was record-breaking, attracting over 50,000 participants, significantly more than the previous edition in London. The organizers provided an environment conducive to presentations, both for our retail operations and online business. Our team on-site represented both business lines, reflecting our expanding offerings, growing client base, and the strong interest in our products – confirming the right direction for our company’s growth.
You mentioned that one of your goals was to showcase your offerings at the trade show. What exactly did Promatic present at ICE this year?
PF: Our objectives were diverse but precise – sales, relationships, marketing, and educational goals. We can confidently say we achieved them. The main goal was sales – at ICE, we presented the full Promatic Group offering, including Lanbase and iGaming solutions. Interest in our products confirmed that our flexibility and excellent quality-to-price ratio stand out among competitors. Our presence at ICE was a conscious, strategic decision. Promatic has 30 years of history and a comprehensive gaming industry portfolio. While we started with gaming machines and remain most recognized in that segment, we wanted a presence in the main hall dedicated to Lanbase, competing with the biggest market players. At the same time, we effectively showcased Promatic Games, our dynamically growing brand whose slots are among the most popular in Poland and expanding into markets such as the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Romania. Our specially designed booth allowed us to efficiently display both product lines and their synergy.
At one ICE in London, Mariusz Pudzianowski was the star of your booth, attracting visitors. How was it this year?
PF: In 2019, we leveraged the popularity of the main character from our hit games Pudzianator and Pudzianator+. This time, we focused on Bober from the game Ale Fajny Bober, which launched on Total Casino – the only legal online casino in Poland – in 2024 and quickly gained popularity. Inspired by a well-known viral, the game also received a special holiday edition. At the end of the year, during an industry conference in Warsaw, we shared insights on its creation and developing games with responsible gaming in mind. Our presentation attracted significant interest, and speakers Maciej Makuszewski and Luka Oblak were included in the TOP Speakers 2024 list.
What are your further plans for this year? ICE 2025 was a strong start – what comes next?
PF: Our 2025 plans are ambitious, and we are not slowing down. Industry events are a key platform for meetings, knowledge exchange, and tracking trends in gaming and new technologies. The Africa Gaming Expo in Lagos has just begun, where we could not be absent as the largest operator in Nigeria. This week, our products will appear at the Irish Gaming Show in Dublin, a market offering increasing opportunities. In the following weeks, we will participate in the iGaming & Tech Summit in Prague, making the first quarter exceptionally busy.
And plans for the rest of the year?
PF: This year will be full of challenges and new opportunities. We invest in technological development and innovative solutions, and active participation in trade shows, exhibitions, and conferences remains a key element of our strategy. We will certainly attend the SBC Summit in Lisbon and SIGMA Europe in Rome, where we may present our latest offerings at our booth. In the second half of the year, we will start planning our participation in ICE 2026. Exciting times are ahead, and we are ready for the next challenges!
